| Award for Academic Administrative Excellence | | | Award for Academic Administrative Excellence 2010 With matchless skill in facilitating processes and devising and exploring collective solutions for complex problems, Diane Morin has exercised a decisive and positive influence as Dean of a Faculty that offers nine training programs. She took an active role in setting up alliances to establish programs leading to the accreditation of Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner. She never hesitated to fight for funding or the recognition of the program by her university partners and the political authorities. At the outset of her term, she began a review of the doctoral program and successfully took it through the many steps leading to its official launch in April 2010. In addition, Ms. Morin has been closely associated with the work of a unique consortium of two nursing faculties and two nursing schools at four Quebec universities dedicated to organizing and administering nursing services (FERASI). As president of its board of directors and executive committee, she participated in lengthy discussions to ensure its continuity, impelled by her understanding of the Centre’s importance for nursing and its growth in Canada. As well, her substantial international experience has enabled her to play a key role in exchanges with the Faculty’s international partners, particularly those in the Secrétariat international des infirmières et infirmiers de l’espace francophone (SIDIIEF) [international secretariat of nurses in French-speaking areas].
