Conference Objectives

CELEBRATE the breadth and depth of baccalaureate-prepared nursing practice.
REFLECT on current nursing practice environments.
EXPLORE asynchrony between education, evidence and practice. 
DISCUSS emerging priorities for action by nursing educators and researchers in universities . 

You are invited to submit an abstract for this conference.  The conference will include 30-minute concurrent presentations and limited poster displays scheduled over one and one-half days.  Abstracts are due no later than midnight, February 24, 2012.  They are to be submitted online to: mailto:theresa.gilbert@dal.ca?subject=ARCASN Abstract Submission. 

Abstracts may not exceed the 250-word limit (excluding title and authors) and must be in PDF format.  Submissions must address the conference objectives and include: original research (in progress or completed), knowledge translation, student centered practice(s), innovative educational programs and/or innovations in clinical teaching. 

Using a blind-review process, two files will be created with each submission.  Identifying information will be removed from all submissions, creating a second anonymous file to be forwarded to the abstract review committee.  All submitting authors will be notified of their submission status once the committee has completed the review process.  Successful participants will be expected to register for the conference by May 1, 2012 to reserve their place in the program.
