| CASN is bidding a fond farewell to our Executive Director Ellen Rukholm | | | CASN is bidding a fond farewell to our esteemed Executive Director, Ellen Rukholm. During her tenure in this position, Ellen has been a constant source of guidance and a driving force behind numerous successful endeavours, including:- spearheading the Cultural Competence and Cultural Safety in Nursing Education Framework, in collaboration with the A.N.A.C and CNA;
- playing a key role in the successful Pan-Canadian Nursing Education Summit and the CASN White Paper:The Case for Healthier Canadians: Nursing Workforce Education for the 21st Century;
- an initiative role in the project for Creating an Action Plan to Build Capacity for Nursing and Midwifery Education and Training in the CARICOM Region through partnerships in collaboration with ONP and PAHO;
- andbeing an active member of the steering committee for the development of a framework for building nursing research capacity.
She has also been very active in ongoing projects that strive for continuous improvement in nursing curriculum nationwide, thereby contributing greatly to CASN’s overall mission.
